We're steadfast in our dedication to quality. We meticulously put love, care, and functional obsession into each and every detail of our products. Our years of expertise working with (and tanning) leather has resulted in the incredibly soft, supple, yet exceedingly tough 'AAA' (CE) Certified jackets that we put our name to.
Just as much care goes into every detail of every Goldtop jacket - including the highest grade (fully polished) YKK zippers, Stainless Steel buckles & press studs, and specialist twill lining which we import from prestigious Japanese textile mills.
The result of all of this effort is riding gear that makes you look your best, feel in total control of your ride, and offers world-class protection.
Amazing quality… as soon as you put it on you just feel it. Very soft leather but will need a few miles to be broken in around the edges… I am very satisfied… Knox level 2 is also very soft.!!!
I’ll probably use the waterproof balm a bought to help the breaking in process… Zios and poppers are a joy to use…

Why wouldn’t you want to own this great jacket!
Slipping the jacket on for the first time in the home and an immediate 100 mile or so ride out was shear pleasure. The quality of the leather, finish and construction is sublime. Same goes for the iconic Goldtop plush interior. The sturdy zips are buttery smooth from the off. Studs work perfectly without having to fiddle around fastening - one sign of the excellent craftwork. The cuffs are not too tight.
Goldtop’s comprehensive sizing guide on their website is a very useful tool. I have an 50 inch chest with similar portly 48 inch midriff (17 stone weight and 5’10”:height); yet the jacket fitted comfortably even allowing for a thickish mid-layer and base layer. I ordered a 52 inch to allow for my portly shape, this multi-layering for colder temperatures and a slightly looser fit which I prefer with my leathers. There are no hand warmers but you can always tuck your hands into the good size bottom pockets if it gets that cold.
Keep in mind this is a sturdy relatively heavy jacket (no venting) which you would expect with its 1.4mm thickness black aniline cowhide leather. Having said this, its sturdiness build inspires a sense of a high level of protection (I ordered the optional back armour which fits perfectly) but doesn’t feel heavy on and offers flexible movement in riding…giving that ‘passive safe’ element on top of its AAA rating.
This is one classy cool looking jacket for sure and well worth the money. As I state in the headline, why wouldn’t you want to own one if this is the classic retro-style you’re after! Goldtops usual high level of service was there with the secure packaging and two working days delivery from order placement. Highly recommended.

Comfort
This is the warmest leather I’ve ever owned.
So completely comfortable that once I’m wearing it I don’t want to take it off.
Money well spent.

Easy to get on and off
Slightly longer than the usual leather jacket. With plenty of pockets. If you have long arms like me go up one size. I bought the back protector as well.
