The 1959 Jacket

What sold me was the classic look. It's a proper functional riding jacket with genuine period styling, built the way these things used to be built. The stitching and hardware are first class, and it feels like something that will look better in ten years than it does today.

Fit was true to the size guide, and the service from Goldtop was quick and straightforward. Received day after!

The jacket is absolutely stunning. The quality is second to none and it’s very well cut. I’m 1,86, 76kg, I took a size 42. It fits me like a gloves even with the armour. I rode with it in temperatures around 0-5 C degrees and was not cold at all.

This is my second jacket from Goldtop and it goes without saying - another winner.

As you’d expect, the leather is soft and supple but the jacket as a whole is substantial and rugged - a quality motorcycle jacket that will do its job.

The looks are timeless and the fit and sizing are perfect for my frame.

This jacket exceeds all expectations. The build quality is up there with jackets of twice or three times the price. The quality of the hide is top notch - hide is strong and heavy, beautifully finished and supremely comfortable. I can see, even after just a week of wear that this jacket will develop a patina to die for, it will mould itself to my body perfectly which is a testament to the quality of the hide used. Hardware/Zips are of supreme quality and sizing is bang on too. Thanks Goldtop. I will be back for more!

This is the best leather jacket I have ever purchased. Quality and value at the highest level. It is very hard to find truly great products that are CE "AAA" here in the states. So finding a garment of this quality is rare. I will be purchasing many more, if not all, Gold Top jackets in the future.

The leather is truly soft with the heavy weight of a top tier leather jacket. When you think of a leather jacket, this is what it should be. The weight and texture are of a proper leather jacket. Overall fit and finish is exceptional as well. Stitching, fasteners, rivets, and zippers are built to last. The lining fells smooth and helps getting the jacket on and off. I also love the inner left breast pocket having a full zip close to ensure phones and valuables don't fall out.

Wear this to ride in. Wear this to events and out and about.

I really love my Goldtop 1959 jacket. It's a beautiful classic look. It fits me perfectly and fits the "modern classic" vibe of my Triumph Bonneville T120 Black motorcycle. The thickness of the leather is very protective and with the Knox Microlock Shoulder, Elbow and Back armor I feel very protected! With the armor removed it is a style statement on it's own away from the bike. I look forward to many years of wear with this top product from Goldtop.

A fabulous quality item. Worth the expense as it will last a lifetime and only get better with age.

Jacket is top quality, the leather is nice and heavy but beautifully soft and supple. I’ve had many leather jackets over the years but none as good as the Goldtop, would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a top quality leather jacket

This is my second Gold Top jacket and once again I am so impressed with the quality and fit. The leather is thick and supple and it is a perfect jacket for on and off the bike.

Over the years I have had several Goldtop jackets, to suit different bikes and because I lost a lot of weight and needed to “downsize”. All have been exceptionally well made from top quality materials. The service from Goldtop has also always been top quality.

This is my favourite jacket, though. I particularly like: the higher collar, both stylistically and to keep draughts off my neck; the central zip, which I find easier to do up; and the leather tab over the bottom of the zip, which provides some protection for the bike’s tank.

Goldtop jackets are designed to be snug but loosen up with wear. Even so, when in doubt go up a size. It is also worth getting slimline ghost or, better still, diablo armour and a Knox back protector. This armour is more comfortable, lighter and retains the jacket’s clean lines.

There is one minor thing that would make the jacket even better and that is a little more room at the cuffs, both to go over wristwatches and to accommodate gloves. But, as I said, this is a small thing and I highly recommend this - and indeed all - Goldtop jackets. You won’t find better.

Many moons ago, late 70's I bought what was then considered the epitome of bike jackets, a Lewis Leathers. It lived up to its reputation in every department and I only parted with it when I grew out of it. I have since then owned quite a few jackets but never been really comfortable with any of them until now. This jacket is superb in every respect and the quality is beyond compare, I had long ago forgotten what it felt like to put a jacket on and feel it become a part of me as this one does. Goldtop is now my go to for riding gear.

This is undoubtedly the best leather jacket I’ve ever owned. The quality is superb as is the fit. The fitting guide suggested a 42 (I’m normally a 40) and it’s spot on! I’m 5’8” just over 12 stone. Everything is perfect from jacket length/width to sleeve length. Big plus..my wife thinks it looks very cool.

This is a beautiful leather jacket, the fit is really good and the leather is so supple. The body armour fits very well and you hardly notice it. Overall a great jacket.

Absolute superb in every way! Wonderful quality jacket throughout. The leather is absolutely premium, gorgeously thick but very soft/supple and so comfortable to wear. Great styling and such an iconic look. I'm a 42" chest went for the 44" and its perfect. 10/10

To begin with, I thought the fit of the sleeves was tight. After wearing the jacket a bit more, I realised the fit would be fine. It’s not unusual to pay a premium for a classic style jacket - period correct features etc. I’d already bought their bobber jacket and was amazed at the quality. The same goes for this one too. Stunning hide quality, beautiful finish and excellent attention to detail and for roughly the same cost as all their jackets. Fantastic.

Superb quality jacket which is very comfortable and feels like it would protect me well if the worst happened. Gives the right level of warmth for maybe 75% of uk days and I love the way it looks.

Was looking for a new leather jacket as the ones i had got smaller for some reason. Heard about goldtop on some YouTube channel(s) and had a look at the website. Liked the retro/vintage styling. But was abit worried about the size at first. After taking measurements and using the size chart went ahead and ordered. Can only say that the sizing is spot on. Knewnthat the waist area would have a bit of 'room to grow' but otherwise my arms and chest would not fit. Chest area was still a bit tight at first (not uncomfortable). But after a few rides the jacket is literally 'growing' on me and i assume it will do so a bit more in the future. Overall really pleased with my purchase.

Bought this as an upgrade from my Spidi and I can tell already that it's going to be my go-to. Highly recommend it!
