The jacket is superb but even after buying a 52" I find I'm so big in the butt that I can't do up the zip. Never mind, I bought it to use in my Pembleton three-wheeler and Morgan four-wheeler so it's not so important now the weather's getting warmer and I'm determined to lose a couple of inches ready for next winter. Overall I'm very pleased as I have been with all the other Goldtop products I have bought over the years for use in my Morgan. I'm sorry that the picture's of the little car and not the jacket but the jacket is almost as big as it and I'm so fat I block out the light.

Purchased the Ocre Patrol jacket as a late 65th birthday present to myself. I thought the Ocre Patrol jacket has softer and more waxey leather and better traffic presence over the black version. I am tall and slim so need a longer cut jacket. I was surprised I needed a 44" instead of the usual 42" chest. In winter I ride with thick pullover . So need a jacket loose in the summer and tighter in the winter . These jackets seem true to size so you might need to go up a size if mail ordering. Supplied body armour doesn't effect the fit. I tried on with both armour out an in. In my opinion the back armour is essential and the shop staff fit it for you. Jacket is able to be tightly fastened at the neck and belt. To fit on the BMW The bottom pop stud had to be undone. There is a two way brass zip so no bunching up. Usual no pressure and attentive service from the Goldtop staff to ensure the fit was perfect. This is my first non black leather jacket. Ocre is the better of the two colours available in my opinion. Buy with confidence.

Earlier this year I bought the Golden Ochre colour of this jacket and was so impressed that I decided to treat myself to the black colour as well so I can colour co-ordinate what I choose to wear between my small stable of motorcycles. The jacket as previously stated is outstanding and so comfortable.

Treated myself to a Patrol jacket, and I've been impressed with the softness and quaity of the leather. There are a couple of things I'm not too keen on though so I'm only giving a 4 star rating. I was aware that some people have initial difficulties with the zip, so I'm hopeful that the more I use it, the easier it will become to use. The second niggle for me is the neck strap. If you don't buckle it up, it will flap around and slap your neck or your helmet without mercy. I'm likely to take a blade and cut it off as I don't see me using it. Don't get me wrong, it is still a great jacket, but for me it's a litle way off being perfect.

Who could resist such an incredibly well made patrol jacket like this. Comfortable, warm and properly fitted with pockets you can actually use. The leather is extremely high quality and the stitch is perfect.

I bought this jacket for my winter riding, does the job nicely so far.
Feels strong and sturdy.
Along with the shoulder, elbow and level 2 Knox back protector i feel as protected as possible.
The stainless press studs give it a cool look.

3rd jacket from Goldtop and like the others the quality and workmanship is first class. This jacket is so much better than the "competitors" from Belstaff and Barbour and far lower cost and an all-round better garment. Golden Ochre being a fabulous colour and far more character than black in my opinion. Truly a comfortable well produced and practical leather jacket.

I have brought a few things from Goldtop and have never had quality gear like this in 56 years of riding, the last purchase was the Patrol Jacket it’s extremely comfortable plus the armour fits well and the leather is very thick.
You can wear this jacket either on or off the bike in any situation.
The crew bend over backwards to make sure you’re happy with all purchases, couldn’t ask for a better company.

Wanted one of these for years, I’ve owned my Goldtop gauntlet’s for quite a while and the quality is second to none so I knew the patrol jacket would be the same, Charlie sorted me the very last one in my size in the shop which I was very grateful for so 5***** all round for Goldtop.👍

Exceptional quality. The leather is very supple and of excellent quality. The coat is a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with this level of quality. The size chart is accurate. If you prefer a looser fit, choose a size up. The zipper takes some getting used to; it's a little tricky to zip up at first. Again, the zipper is of very high quality, as are the snap buttons. This coat is also very warm. It's an excellent purchase.

Fit was true to size. The craftsmanship is very evident from the moment you pick the jacket up and feel it's heft. It has presence and style. The armor is not even noticeable once the jacket is worn. This is a jacket that will last a lifetime.

Great quality jacket. I have a Schott Perfecto and I’ll put this jacket up against the Schott in quality in every aspect… except the zipper pull. Im not saying the zipper isn’t quality material but the pull is fiddly.
Fit was spot on for me.

Hi just got let you know. Goldtop let me know they had my size jacket in stock so on the 29th of November I set of from Nottingham in heavy rain.
I arrived at 8 55 am the shop opened at 9am and from the start what a welcome, a mix up with my email ment that they did not have the size jacket at the shop I required but they said they would have it with by Tuesday and it arrived am on time. The jacket is outstanding quality and fit and very comfortable 👌.
A first class service and quality clothing it will definitely outlast me. Five stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way and the shop is worth a visit. Thank you for the care I received on Saturday much appreciated.

This jacket is absolutely gorgeous, it’s made from thick but exceptionally supple cow hide with suede inside collar. I ride a beautiful Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe M8. I didn’t really want to project the black leather biker image, I’m too old at 75. I plan on touring Europe, staying at cheap accommodation, when I’m travelling and staying 4 star when I wish to spend a few days in an area. I wanted a jacket that I could wear off the bike in a smart casual manner. The Patrol fills this part of the brief completely. It is also an exceptionally good jacket for riding in. The 2 way zip allows me to sit on my bike without the jacket bunching up, which a long jacket would do otherwise. The 4 outside pockets function well and the jacket has 2 inner pockets, one of which has a zip and it swallows my large mobile phone, whilst keeping it safe from falling out, if I carry the jacket over one arm.
I had to apply a liberal amount of candle wax and perfect the technique, in order to engage the zip easily - that’s the downside of a 2 way zip - but I’ve mastered it now.
The lining looks really nice and is warm - I would’ve liked the option of specifying an upgrade to a heavy wool lining, as I wear almost 100% natural fabrics. No doubt that would’ve made the jacket considerably more expensive but I would’ve paid it.
This jacket is an absolute bargain, the quality is superb! It comes with easily removable shoulder and elbow armour. In short:- it’s a highly functional motorcycle jacket that looks very smart off the bike.

I love my new patrol jacket. Beautiful leather and finished to a premium standard. I’d have no reservations about buying from goldtop again. My jacket arrived quickly. Had to contact goldtop as my jacket didn’t have the goldtop logo on the pocket. Charlie was excellent and confirmed he’d resolve this issue in due course. 10/10

I bought the patrol jacket a couple of months ago knowing the weather was about to turn towards winter and I wasn’t disappointed.

Warm, water resistant and super comfortable due to the soft leather and the upgraded flexible armour, built like a tank, a jacket as it should be.

I wanted an all year round stylish protective traditional jacket that would take an occasional shower and daily commuting in its stride without looking like Buzz Lightyear replacing my previous jackets every few years.

I went for the upgraded armour and the waterproofing also so it doesn’t get much better, the suit feels its built to last and has an air of quality about it so it inspires confidence in the product should the worse happen.

The staff have been absolutely amazing and went the extra mile in fully kitting me out, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the product.

I have been back twice now and I intend to return again shortly for some more accessories.

The quality of the patrol jacket’s leather is amazing. It’s by far the best quality coat I have. Joe was also quick to respond and answer questions I had over email.

Ordering & advice by telephone was personal & tailored to my needs. The offer of a free returns slip should the size be incorrect was a sensible bonus & clinched the deal. Patrol jacket is no lightweight, but then it's top notch leather AAA rated. (Unlike a textile) Wore it that night for 30 miles and it felt instantly comfortable and re-assuring. I still have some sheepskin lined Goldtop boots from the 1970's too !
