Saved my skin, literally. Best gloves I've ever owned!

I purchased these gloves about 2 years ago. They were incredibly comfortable, cold or hot weather, and offered a level of control and feel on the controls that no other gloves provided. That alone made me very happy with the purchase. But recently I had an experience that took these gloves from just looking great, to proving to me just how excellent they are as protective riding equipment.

Riding on my old TRW, I had the bike slip out from under me in a turn, thanks to pea-sized gravel in a turn at the base of a hill. Instinctively I had put my hands out to stop my head from smacking the pavement (which, I'm happy to report, didn't make contact with the road).

The gloves took the brunt of the skid, and shockingly gave little to the road. The palms are going to easily buff out, the snaps paid the price (but did not press into my hands), and the longer gauntlet cuff on the left hand protected my forearm right up to where the under armour skid pad took over. The repair on the cuff is purely temporary to prevent the glove from splitting.

I attached a picture of me (in the sweater wearing the gloves) and the TRW shortly after the accident. You can see the skid and the small dirt mound and wall that helped stop the slide, but more importantly, look at the road ... this is what these gloves stood up to.

Do I recommend these gloves? Absolutely. Do I recommend GoldTop for their quality? Oh, without question. These gloves saved my hands, my skin, and I have a whole new appreciation for what they are. Friggin' love them!
