Reassuringly weighty

The jacket was my Christmas treat. When it arrived, it's packaged nicely. Not like some of the cheap jackets you see, where even the one worn by the model has the creases from being rolled up, creases you suspect will not disappear in time. In contrast, when I open the cupboard and I can smell the leather. When I take the jacket off for someone to hang up for me, you can see their shock at the weight they don't expect, as it's reassuringly heavy, not some thin excuse of a leather jacket. Who needs dumbbells. Delighted with my purchase. Gives you real presence. Comfortable and warm.

After years of looking for the right riding jacket I finally found the perfect fit. The Lancer fits great, with and without armour. Being based in Canada weather is a real challenge - the Lancer cuts through the wind effortlessly.

What can I say that hasn't been said? I love this jacket, leather is gorgeous, super comfortable, and it makes me look like a badass. Only things I want to mention, and neither are really negatives... it's perfect for temperatures below 70°F, above that it's a little warm. If you're a middle-aged guy that's gone through "the change" (you'll know if you have!), then lean bigger in size. I'm around 170 lbs, 33" waist, 5' 11' tall. Size 40 was too small, 42 was just right. Anyway, I love my Goldtop jacket so much, I want another in a different color!
