YOUR GOLDTOP NECK TUBE

The Goldtop neck tube is one of those pieces that earns its place by doing more than one job well. Below you'll find the ways we recommend wearing yours - each one tried and tested by riders who know that the difference between a good ride and a miserable one is often something this small.

Do you have a novel method of wearing your neck tube that isn't featured on this page? If so, please let us know at support@goldtop.co.uk - we'd love to hear your ideas.

THE CLASSIC

NECK WARMER

The most natural starting point. Pull the tube up around your neck and let it sit low, filling the gap between your collar and your chin. Simple and effective.

Nose and mouth

FULL FACE COVER

Pull the tube up from your neck to cover your nose and mouth, leaving your eyes clear. This is the position most riders default to before pulling a helmet on - it seals out wind chill at the lower face and stops cold air funnelling into your neck, chin, and chest.

The tube sits naturally at the bridge of the nose, leaving full peripheral vision unobstructed. Easy to adjust on the fly, and drops back down to a neck warmer the moment you stop.

EXTRA HIGH

FACE COVER

Pulled up higher than a standard face cover, this position brings the tube across the bridge of the nose with the fabric sitting flush against the cheeks, completely covering the ears, and reaching the top of the back of one's head.

THE

BALACLAVA

Start with your neck tube in the "Extra High Face Cover" position. Then, fold the front of the neck tube down inside itself. This will allow you to pull the back of the neck tube up and over your head. Give it a try - an impressively practical and warm way to wear your neck tube.

THE

HEADBAND

Fold the tube in half or thirds and wear it across your forehead and ears - pulled back like a sweatband, or forward to cover the brow. Works well off the bike too, walking to the cafe or standing round at a show when the chill hasn't lifted but a full hat feels like too much.
