Probably the most expensive pair of gloves I’ve ever bought, but well worth it. I was looking around for a pair of decent retro gloves and these cafe racer gloves fit the bill. I think they’ll probably outlast me! Only worn them twice so far, so still a little stiff and awkward; they’re already beginning to ease and I’ve only used them for 140 miles so far.
If I were to quibble - and it’s minor - it’d be the outside seams. This is something I’m not used to, but it doesn’t bother me overly much. I’d imagine that placing the seams on the inside might perhaps made them uncomfortable, given the leather thickness.
I took the option to visit and purchase in person, because I was a little unsure of what size to get. Medium did feel more comfortable, straight off the peg, but then my fingers couldn’t reach the tips inside of the glove. My fingers do reach in further with the small size, so it’s just a question of bedding them in - something I had to do with my last pair, purchased from the London Motocyle Museum for the princely sum of £1!
If you want good quality retro gloves at a reasonable price then this is the place. The service is excellent too and very friendly. I didn’t, but you can even get tea and cakes! 👍😊🏍
